No amount of intimidation will stop me from campaigning for my husband – Mrs Ize Iyamu

Wife of the PDP governorship candidate in Edo State, Dr. Idia Ize-Iyamu has declared that no amount of intimidation or deliberate manipulation by the APC would deter her from complementing the vigorous campaigns of her husband towards the September 28 Edo state gubernatorial election.
She spoke while campaigning in some markets in Owan West and Uhunmwonde Local Government Areas in veiled reference to the attack on her convoy few days ago, saying that would only strengthen her and her enthusiastic followers.
She urged women to come out en masse to vote for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu who she stressed was full of passion for development in the state. She also charged Edo women to be fearless and focused as they cast their vote on election day.
Describing Edo women as the most hardworking and industrious in Nigeria from ancient time to modern times, Idia Ize-Iyamu advised them to summon enough courage to exercise their franchise
“Do not be afraid. By the grace of God, all would be well. Come out in your large numbers to vote. We women should not be reluctant or feel unsafe to exercise our rights”,she said.
Idia noted that Edo women, like their male counterparts, have been very bold and courageous in history. The PDP women campaign witnessed a colourful carnival procession marked with pomp and pageantry.
