After many years of marriage without a child, the wife of Bayelsa State Governor, Dr. (Mrs) Rachael Dickson has given birth to quadruplet in the United States of America (USA).
Vanguard gathered the quadruplets, a boy and three girls were delivered in the early hours of Friday in an disclosed hospital.
News of the delivery sparked celebration among staff of the Government House.
The birth of the quadruplets, came few hours after Governor Seriake Dickson secured victory at the Abuja Division of Appeal Court the over his rival, Timipre Sylva as winner of the last governorship election in the state, making it a double celebration for the first family.
A statement signed, Friday, by Mr. Daniel Iworiso-Markson, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Seriake Dickson, said the development contributed to the season of celebrations in the governor’s family.
The statement said: “The season of celebrations continues in the family of Governor Henry Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State as his wife, the First Lady, Dr. Rachael Dickson just put to bed in the United States of America.Mother and children are doing well.”
He said “the blessing is particularly for the family and Bayelsans “because this bundle of joy is coming after many years of praying and waiting upon the Lord.”
Dickson in the statement was quoted thanking friends, film members and Bayelsans for their prayers and support and enjoined them to continue to pray for the family.
