Health Benefits Of Soursop

Parasite Control: The anti-parasitic nature of soursop has made it a popular treatment in many of the rural areas of Latin America and South America, particularly in areas where parasitic infections are more common. By brewing a tea from the leaves of the fruit, you can cleanse your gut and ensure that your gastrointestinal system is running smoothly.

Anti-inflammatory Properties: If you are suffering from joint pain or inflammation, particularly from conditions like gout or
arthritis, then rubbing a decoction of soursop on the affected area can be a wonderful way to find some relief. The anti-inflammatory compounds found in soursop can quickly speed healing in affected areas, while also soothing pain and improving flexibility.

Respiratory Distress: If you are struggling with a cough, cold, or other form of respiratory ailment, then soursop’s anti-inflammatory properties can help to clear out your airways, relieve congestion, and soothe irritation. Acting partially as an expectorant , soursop is a reliable way to eliminate phlegm and mucus, where many pathogens can live. By reducing inflammation of the nasal cavities and respiratory tracts, it can also speed healing.

Sedation and Stress: Soursop tea has been used as a stress relieving strategy for centuries. There are certain anti-inflammatory and soothing properties of soursop that make it very effective if you are suffering from excess stress and anxiety . Stress hormones in the body can be detrimental, and can mess with your natural metabolic cycles, as well as your sleep schedule. If you’re suffering from
insomnia or restless sleep, soursop tea is a wise choice.

Skin Health: You can pulverize the seeds of the soursop fruit into a powder, which can then be formulated into a skin astringent, helping you to reduce lines and wrinkles, and improve the appearance of age spots and blemishes. Topically apply this paste to the affected areas regularly and enjoy healthier skin, while also protecting yourself from bacterial and microbial infections.

Cancer Prevention: Some of the most interesting benefits of soursop relate to its antioxidant activity, which namely comes from acetogenins, as well as quinolones and alkaloids. These have been directly linked to cancer prevention and the reduction in size of tumors. Extensive research has been done on the unique organic compounds of soursop and it has been widely studied as an alternative cancer treatment. These
acetogenins are actually unique to the Annonanaceae plant family, which is what makes them so fascinating. They can apparently cut off blood flow to foreign or non-normal cellular growths, and have already been positively associated with treating breast, pancreatic, prostate, and lung cancers.
Immune System Booster: Protecting the immune system is one of the most important components of a healthy diet and fitness regimen. Adding a bit of soursop fruit to your diet, either through refreshing beverages or desserts, can positively impact your overall health and keep those illnesses at bay. Rich in vitamin C, this fruit stimulates the production of white blood cells, while the
concentration of antioxidants helps to neutralize free radicals and prevent chronic disease.

Gastrointestinal Health: Being rich in vitamin C, soursop was used for many years as a natural remedy for scurvy and dysentery. The juice of the soursop fruit can also be a very effective diuretic, to cleanse the gastrointestinal tract and remove excess toxins and salts from the body. The anti-inflammatory components, including the alkaloids and quinolones, can reduce parasites in the gut and alleviate any pain and irritation in the stomach/colon.

Analgesic Properties: In terms of pain relief, soursop has been topically applied to wounds and injuries for generations, but also works internally to relieve pain and speed healing. The sedative and anti-inflammatory aspects of this impressive tropical fruit make it an ideal solution for all types of body pain, both inside and out.

In addition, the leaves and the stem back is also medicinal just as the fruit.
Researchers had re-verified Soursop leaf's hypotensive (reduce blood pressure) properties in rats. Other properties and actions of Soursop documented by traditional uses include its use as anti-cancerous, anti-diabetes, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-malarial, anti-mutagenic (cellular protector), emetic (induce vomiting), anti-convulsant, sedative (induces sleep), insecticidal and uterine stimulant (helps in childbirth). It is also believed to be a digestive stimulant, antiviral, cardio tonic (tones, balances and strengthens the heart), febrifuge (cures fever), nerviness (balances/calms the nerves), vermifuge (expels worms), pediculocide (kills lice) and as an analgesic (pain-reliever).
Researchers have confirmed the anti-viral activity of ethanolic extracts of Soursop against Herpes simplex virus. Extracts of Soursop have been shown to have anti-parasitic, anti-rheumatic, astringent, anti-Ieishmanial and cytotoxic effects. Soursop has also been shown to be effective against Multi-Drug Resistant (MDR) cancer cell lines. Extracts of Soursop were also shown to be effective against the cancer cell line U973, and hematoma cell lines in-vitro. Extracts were also shown to be lethal to the fresh water mollusk, Biomphalaria glabrata, which act as a host for the parasitic worm Schistosoma mansoni. But recent studies have described how extracts of Soursop reduces blood sugar in diabetics by improving insulin production, Improves cardiovascular health by reducing blood fats, treat drug resistant cancer, stop diarrhoea in children, among others.
Nigerian researchers have evaluated the effects of methanolic extract of Soursop leaves on the pancreatic islet cells of streptozotocin induced- diabetic rats. The results of the study indicated that Soursop extract treatment decreased the blood glucose concentration of diabetic rats due to the regeneration/proliferation in the pancreatic Beta cells (Beta-cells).
The pancreas is a gland organ in the digestive and endocrine system of vertebrates. It is both an endocrine gland producing several important hormones, including insulin, glucagon and somatostatin, as well as an exocrine gland, secreting pancreatic juice containng digestive enzymes that pass to the small intestine. These enzymes help in the further breakdown of the carbohydrates, protein, and fat in the chyme.
Beta cells (beta-cells, Beta-cells) are a type of cell in the pancreas in areas called the islets of Langerhans. They make up 65-80 per cent of the cells in the islets. Beta cells make and release insulin, a hormone that controls the level of glucose in the blood.

Edo tribunal: Recounted ballot papers show discrepancies with INEC’s figure

The result of the recounting of ballot papers used for the conduct of the September 28 Edo State governorship election in three local government areas has shown discrepancy in the total number of figures announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and that recorded during the recounting exercise.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, are challenging the declaration by INEC of Godwin Obaseki of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the election and have listed INEC, Obaseki and the APC as first, second and third respondents respectively.
In its ruling on February 9, 2017, and subsequent orders, the three-man tribunal headed by Justice Ahmed Badamasi granted the prayers of the PDP and Ize-Iyamu by ordering the recount of ballot papers used for the conduct of the election in Egor, Akoko-Edo, Etsako West and Etsako East local government areas.
The recounting exercise, which was held between February 9th and 10th, was, however not concluded before the expiration of the period given to the petitioners to prove their cases, but afforded the petitioners enough time to conclude the recounting exercise in some wards in Egor, Akoko-Edo and Etsako West local government areas.
In the report that was signed by the assistant secretary to the tribunal, Buhari Sani, for the secrtary and given to parties in the case, the recounting exercise was concluded in Wards 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in Etsako West Local Government Area, Wards 1 and 2 in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area and Ward 1 of Egor Local Government Area.
Most striking was that of Etsako West Local Government Area, where recounts showed that a total 8,432 ballot papers were used in the five wards covered by the recounts as opposed to 17,138 that was recorded in the form EC8A by the INEC.
In Ward 1 of Akoko-Edo Local Government Area, recounts revealed that more ballot papers were used than the figures recorded on the Form EC8A as recounts showed that 3,206 ballot papers were used as opposed to 3,167 recorded by INEC.
In Ward 2 of the local government, recounts showed that 3,849 ballot papers were used, while 4,161 was recorded on the Form EC8A by the INEC.
In Ward 1 of Egor Local Government Area, recounts indicated that 3,217 ballot papers were used in the eight units of the ward, while 2,770 ballot papers were recorded as used on the Form EC8A.
The tribunal resumes sitting on Thursday with INEC opening its defence of how it conducted the election.

Why Adeboye quit as G.O. in Nigeria

PASTOR Enoch Adejare Adeboye has appointed Pastor Joseph Obayemi as the new General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, in Nigeria. Adeboye remains General Overseer, Worldwide, of the RCCG.
This clarification came hours after the social media went abuzz with news of the retirement of the septuagenerian Adeboye, who had led the church for some 35years.
Announcing the change in the leadership of the church during a ministers’ meeting after the RCCG’s monthly Holy Ghost Service, at the church’s new auditorium held in Simawa, Ogun State, he explained that the change was necessary following a Federal Government policy which instructed some of the General Overseers in the country who have used more than two tenures in office to retire.

The policy in reference is the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) of Nigeria’s Code of Corporate Governance, which was first put forward in 2015.
Surprise Announcement
In a surprise move, Adeboye announced to the crowded ministers’ conference at about 10.25 a.m. yesterday, new appointments of those who will run the affairs of the church.
The RCCG leader explained that he was taking the decision in obedience to a government regulation, saying, in his absence, Obayemi becomes the General Overseer who will now oversee the Nigerian church.
Adeboye, who is the spiritual leader of the church, will now oversee the RCCG globally.
He also announced that Pastor Johnson F. Odesola will be the church’s Secretary General, while Pastor Joseph Adeyokunnu takes charge of the treasury.
Therefore, Odesola and Adeyokunnu will work with the newly appointed General Overseer in charge of RCCG Nigeria, Obayemi.
Adeboye, who had predicted surprises for the new year, stated that there is a government law that General Overseers of churches can only serve for a stipulated period of time.
He then said: “We should always be on the look out for ourselves. I don’t expect that anyone was going to ignore me. Love you all. We need to intensify our prayers and please let’s not shy away from politics.
“I see God raising influence like Daniel and his Hebrew brothers, men who know God and shall be strong and do exploits. God bless you.”.
Earlier, Adeboye had announced a 40-day fasting and praying for members of the church, beginning from midnight on January 11, 2017 .
According to him, the fasting period starts each day at midnight and runs to 6.00 p.m. praying twice a day during morning devotion and again at 5.00 p.m. at the churches.
“If you want to do it day and night without breaking (just liquid) it will be for 20 days, stressing that major prayer points will be praising God and asking God for grace to please Him in every way possible this year”.
The Law
The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) of Nigeria, Code of Corporate Governance, took effect from Monday, October 17, 2016.

The aspect of the law, Non-For-Profit Organisations (NFPOs) Governance Code, 2015, which Adejare implicitly referred to, seeks to promote the highest standards of corporate governance.
The following are stated in Section 9, which deals with “Position of the Founder or Leader”:
“9.1. The Founder or Leader of a NFPO occupies a special position in the Organisation and is committed to the success and longevity of the NFPO. Accordingly, a Founder or Leader should not take on too many responsibilities in the organisation or have an indefinite term in the running of the organisation.
“9.2. Where for any reason, a Founder or Leader of NFPO also occupies any of the three governance positions of Chairmanship of the Board of Trustees, the Governing Board or
Council, and the Headship of the Executive Management (or their governance equivalents), the following provisions shall apply before the end of the organization’s financial year in which this Code takes effect.
“9.2.1. The Founder or Leader shall cease to occupy these three governance positions simultaneously. This is to ensure the separation of powers and avoid possible
concentration of powers in one individual.
“9.2.2. The Founder or Leader may however choose – subject to the agreement of the organization’s apex authority as expressed in the Annual General Assembly, Annual
Meeting, Annual Stakeholder Engagement, Annual Conference, Annual Synod, Annual Fellowship Assembly or their equivalents – only one of these three governance positions subject to his current tenure. This is to ensure a clear division of responsibilities at the head of the organization between the running of the governing body and the executive responsibility for the management and fulfilment of the organization’s mission.
“9.3. Where the Founder or Leader has occupied all or any of these three governance positions for more than ten years, or is aged seventy years or above, the choice in section 9.2.2 above should only relate to the Board of Trustees as in section 9.4(c) below.
In the case of religious or cultural organisations, nothing in this code is intended to change the spiritual leadership and responsibilities of Founders, General Overseers, Pastors, Imams and Muslim Clerics, Presidents, Bishops, Apostles, Prophets, etc. which are distinguishable from purely corporate governance and management responsibilities and accountabilities of the entities”
According to records, only 89 out of the 23, 216 registered churches in the country complied as at last year.
Section 39 of the Code deals with “Sanctions“39.1. Compliance with the provisions of this Code is mandatory.
Accordingly, violations of the provisions of this Code will occasion both personal sanctions against the persons directly involved in the violation, and sanctions against the NFPOs involved in such violation.
“39.2. Where sanctions have been imposed on any NFPO or person for the violation of this Code, the NFPO is precluded from making any reimbursements to that person for the sanctions.”

Last year, some pastors, lawyers and workers of some pentecostal churches in the country had instituted a suit against the FRC, regarding plans to effectuate the “Not-for-Profit Code 2015”.
They were pressing for the enforcement of Order II of the Fundamental Right Enforcement Procedure Rules 2009, and Articles 8 of the African Charter of Human and Peoples Right.

They also claimed that the “enforcement of the Code amounts to quasi-duplication of the work of the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, which is saddled with the responsibility of registration and monitoring of compliance of charitable organizations/groups; that the term of reference being muted and promoted by the second and third respondents i.e. term of reference in section 1.1 of the 2015 Code as well as 8-40, specifically, sections 8,9,10 and 37 of the code are illegal and unconstitutional being inconsistent with section 7 and 8 of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria Act Cap F42, Law of Federation, 2011 setting up the third respondent among others”.
Others to quit
Meanwhile, there were indications, yesterday, that leaders of some prominent pentecostal churches in the country, who have either served 10 years at the helm of affairs of their organisations or are above 70 years may follow the Adeboye example by also quitting the headship of their churches in Nigeria.

They include the Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith World Outreach, David Oyedepo; Bishop Mike Okonkwo of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM); Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor of the Word of Life Bible Church, Warri; Pastor W. F. Kumuyi of Deeper Life Bible Church and Pastor D.K. Olukoya of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries.

The Appointments
Until his surprise appointment as the Nigerian Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Joseph O. Obayemi, a financial expert, was an Assistant General Overseer and the Pastor-in-charge of RCCG Region 2.
Pastor Johnson Odesola, who, until yesterday was the Special Assistant to the General Overseer in charge of Personnel and Administration, will now hold the position of General Secretary of the Nigerian church.
Pastor Odesola urged members of the church to remain steadfast and be more prayerful, and refrain from spreading unfounded rumours capable of derailing established authorities.

ADEBOYE: Profile
Pa Enoch Adejare Adeboye was born on March 2, 1942, in Ifewara, Osun State. Pastor Adeboye had his B.Sc. in Mathematics at University of Nigeria Nsukka, and subsequently got his PhD in applied mathematics from the University of Lagos, and worked as a lecturer in Mathematics at the universities of Lagos and Ilorin, before going into full time priesthood in 1984.

In 1981, Adeboye was appointed General Overseer of the church. He took over from Papa Akindayomi, who had died the previous year.
For three years he performed the role part-time, still lecturing at Unilorin. He finally gave up his university position to preach full-time. The church, which was not well known prior to Adeboye’s ascendancy, has grown phenomenally, to become Nigeria’s biggest, with branches globally in about 190 countries, including more than 14,000 in Nigeria.

Can APC manage their victory in Edo state?

Edo State Youth leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Osakpanwa Eriyo and another chieftain of the party, Sunday Osagbona, were yesterday arraigned before the Oredo Magistrate Court Benin City for alleged conspiracy and attempted murder against the state Secretary of the party and Obazulu of Benin Kingdom, Chief Osaro Idah.
Eriyo who is also the state chairman of the Road Transport Employers Association (RTEAN), has been in police detention in the past three days following a petition by Chief Idah that Eriyo and others threatened to kill him and the Chief Security Officer to Governor Godwin Obaseki, Mr Haruna.
Osakpanwa was alleged to have told Chief Idah that “you will die the way your father was killed,” but he denied ever saying such. It will be recalled that Chief Idah’s father was assassinated in a very brutal manner in 1992 when he was chairman of Oredo Local Government Area.
But it was a difficult one for the police command in the state following the invasion of the command by over twenty thousand loyalists of Osakpanwa who demanded the release of their leader. Osakpanwa was said to have attempted suicide at the Police Command when he used a broken bottle to cut his body. Blood flowed freely before the police held him while he cursed Governor Godwin Obaseki of being behind his travail.
The Edo state Police Commissioner, Haliru Gwandu, in his reaction said “we are not looking at the political angle of the incident but the crime which he allegedly committed. And that is why we have taken the matter to court”.
However, the police were able to whisk the APC leaders away to the magistrate court under heavy security and on getting to the court, they locked up the entire premises so as to stop the supporters from invading the court room.
When Eriyo was brought to court, he yelled at the police demanding why he was on handcuff when he was not a criminal.
He yelled, “why are you charging me for attempted murder, did I kill anybody, I am not a criminal, the governor is only trying to oppress me, I have not done anything”.
However, the pleas by their Counsel, Usunobun Evbayiro, that they should be granted custody in the police cell due to their ill health were rejected by the Magistrate. He said his clients were hypertensive, asthmatic, have high blood sugar and need constant medical attention. “The first accused person collapsed in police station. It was the police doctors who revived him. I urge you to use your discretion to allow him to be kept in police hospital so that police doctors can attend to him. It is for him not to die in custody.”
But the presiding Magistrate, M.C Ojobo said she lacked such powers and that prison custody is the proper place to remand them since there are health facilities at the prisons.
She said she lacked jurisdiction to entertain the matter and ordered the case file to be sent to the Department of Public Prosecution for legal advice. The matter was adjourned to January 13, 2017 for mention.
However the war is about the soul of the APC in Oredo LGA which is the Council of Governor Obaseki. The leaders of the party in the council led by Chief Idah had a list of the party executive while Osakpanwa who doggedly supported Obaseki before and after the APC primaries had his own different list.
And just before Christmas, the leaders attended a meeting at Government House at the instance of Governor Obaseki, but those loyal to Osakpanwa were locked outside the meeting. His supporters then stormed Government in protest. It will be recalled that the former chief of staff to the governor, Patrick Obahiagbon convened the Oredo leadership meeting led by Chief Idah where the entire leaders of the party apart from Osakpanwa endorsed the list of Executive which was submitted by Chief Idah.
The situation is creating tension in the state as APC leaders in Oredo fled their homes as they were afraid they may be attacked by Osakpanwa’s loyalists who are more than 30,000 youths whom he has empowered. He is a god father to most of the youths in Benin and his incarceration in prison custody is capable of causing serious crisis in the governor’s own Local Government as he plans to settle down for governance in the year 2017.

My New Year Message to Nigerians – Buhari

My dear Compatriots,
I am happy to welcome you to the beginning of a New Year in our beloved country Nigeria.
I felicitate with you today at a time when our nation is witnessing a new and impressive turnaround in our security and socio-economic situation.
I know you will join me to, once again, congratulate the heroic and gallant efforts of our military and other security agencies on their remarkable successes to rid the nation of terrorism.
Following the successful capture of Sambisa Forest, spearheaded by troops of Operation Lafiya Dole, we have entered a new phase in our battle against our common enemy, Boko Haram.
When we see our beloved 21 Chibok girls reuniting with their families and community for Christmas, it gives us the hope that those who are still in captivity will one day return to the loving arms of family, friends and well-wishers.
I urge all Nigerians to be on the alert and watch out for strange figures settling in their communities, and report to the nearest security agencies, as our armed forces intensify the pursuit of fleeing terrorists from the captured Sambisa Forest.
Misguided elements who decided to take up arms against constituted authorities must be brought to face the full weight of the law.
The support of all Nigerians to security agencies to enable them successfully execute their mandate is crucial in our bid to effectively secure our country.
Seeing the joyful return of thousands of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to Damasak town in Borno State, following the reopening of Maiduguri/Gubio/Damasak road in Northern Borno on December 25, 2016, reassured us that the voluntary return of IDPs in other parts of the country is imminent.
The Federal Government will spare no effort in seeing to the resettlement and rehabilitation of the unfortunate victims of terrorism and insurgency. I urge state governments, privileged Nigerians, donor agencies and countries to redouble their contributions towards this goal.
Government is aware of some mistakes and wrongdoings in handling the affairs of IDPs. We are taking measures to correct those mistakes and punish the culprits.
In this New Year, I want to reassure all Nigerians that our defence and security forces are more than ever before ready to perform their constitutional role of protecting lives and property in the country; and we will surely overcome all other forms of security challenges.
The lingering security issues in several states will be frontally addressed. These ugly crises cannot be allowed to fester as they strain the unifying bonds of brotherhood and neighbourliness. Some sections of the press and some politicians should avoid provocative and inflammatory statements, while the government is painstakingly trying to find solutions to our challenges.
I want to remind you on the first day of this New Year of an African proverb that says “it is easy to break a broomstick but not a bunch”. Nigeria is a bunch and is more than equal to troublemakers.
I have interacted with a broad spectrum of Nigerians, the old and the young, and they have told me unequivocally that they believe in the unity and stability of Nigeria.
The year 2017 provides an opportunity for us to build on those aspects of our national life that unite us. We are courageous, hardworking, hospitable, steadfast and resilient people, even in the face of difficulties.
These are the attributes that define us and have for years confounded the pessimists who do not believe in our continued existence as a united and indivisible nation. We are a remarkable nation that has succeeded in harnessing our multiple diversities for national development. We must continue to support and tolerate one another and live together as one.
We will continue to pursue peace initiatives in the Niger Delta as I again, call on our brothers in that region who have taken to violent disruptions of economic infrastructure to come to the negotiating table.
As for our brothers and sisters of the Shia Community, we urge them, too, to embrace peace. They must accept the laws of the country they live in. They cannot be islands by themselves. At the same time, the law enforcement agencies must treat them humanely and according to the rule of law.
On our part, in the past 20 months since our inauguration on May 29, 2015, we have focused our energies to turn around the economy, create jobs, fight corruption, and transform agriculture to replace oil and gas as a major revenue earner for the nation. I am encouraged that we are getting things right.
The agricultural revolution has begun. Farmers in different parts of the country are experiencing bumper harvests; states are getting into strategic partnership towards attaining self-sufficiency in rice, and the era of over-dependence on oil for foreign exchange revenues is gradually waning. I am optimistic that the CHANGE we all yearned for in voting this administration to power in 2015 will manifest more and be sustained in different sectors, particularly agriculture, in 2017.
As you may be aware, our economic recovery and growth plan in 2017 is anchored on optimizing the use of local content and empowering local businesses.
In pursuit of this administration’s philosophy, we will continue to appeal that we buy “Made In Nigeria” goods. Like I said during the 2017 Budget presentation to the National Assembly, farmers, small and medium-sized manufacturers, agro-allied businesses, dressmakers, entertainers and technology start-ups, will remain the true drivers of our economic future. They are the engine of our economic recovery and their needs underpin our Economic Recovery and Growth Plan.
On job creation, this administration will sustain existing programmes aimed at lifting a vast number of our youth out of poverty, while at the same time creating the opportunities for people to fend for themselves.
Our determination to wrestle corruption to the ground remains unshaken. This fight, which will be guided by respect for the rule of law and due process, will not spare anybody or organ of government. It is a collective undertaking and resolve that must be seen to its logical conclusion in spite of certain distractions. The fate of our country lies partly in the success of this campaign. It will be unthinkable on my part to allow the boat of this crucial campaign promise capsize mid-stream.
I thank you for the public support for our administration’s efforts to transform Nigeria. I assure you again that the current pains are temporary and will ease when the economic seeds in gestation begin to bloom to fruition. I urge you to continue to support this administration in its effort to transform Nigeria for the good of all.

I hope other governors will stand for their people like Fayose – Pastor E.A. Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has admonished state governors in the country to emulate their Ekiti State counterpart, Mr Ayodele Fayose, in standing up for and protecting the interest of their people.
He stated this in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday at the palace of Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe Aladesanmi 111.
The renowned cleric, visited the monarch before attending a crusade at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, described Governor Fayose as a great defender of his people and their cause.
Adeboye also commended Fayose for taking great risks to defend and protect the interests of his people.
”Your Excellency, we thank God for your life, courage, boldness and being willing to take the risk so that your people can be protected and I know you know what I am talking about.
You can be sure that we are praying for you and you will succeed. I hope other governors will stand for their people like you and defend their people and say enough is enough,” Adeboye said.
Adeboye, who prayed for the restoration of the lost glory of Ekiti, also commended Oba Adejugbe for leading his people in the way of the Lord.
Earlier, Governor Fayose said Nigerians appreciate the efforts of Adeboye at taking the gospel round the world.
”We know that it is at this time of the year that you go round and we pray that God strengthens you.
Your visit is annually and when a man of God passes by, we want to take that advantage for him to bless us. We appreciate your efforts at taking the gospel round the world,” he said.
Oba Adejugbe also described Adeboye’s visit as a blessing to the palace, and the people of the state in general.
Pastor Adeboye later held a revival at the stadium and later visited Ilawe and Ogotun-Ekiti.
